lol @ RE5 and Heavy Rain being Move games when they're were just patched to work with Move in restrospect.

You guys are getting desperate.

Using your logic, even though Mass Effect 2 is being released on PS3, Mass Effect 2 is not a PS3 game.

How did you get to that conclusion using his logic? O.o

If A was released before B and B is a control scheme for a game, then A cannot be identified using controller B, even if it is redesigned to use B.

In this case, A is Mass Effect 2 and B is the PS3 controller.

In the other case, A is Heavy Rain, and B is Move.

You obviously didn't understand his logic.

No =(

This thread has really shown me two things: Ps3 fans are overly defensive (and I thought wii fans were getting bad....sony fans can always go lower), and Reggie can compliment other console titles.

Reggie called the entire Kinect lineup, except Dance Central, trash. Nobody noticed though which is why admire Reggie. One day I'd like to troll on such a high level as he does.

Well you can't argue with the truth! Trololol.

Hold it. He talks about Move and Kinect without downplaying them!? Oh Reggie...

*disappointed*

He does slightly downplay MOVE by saying the software is "all the same"

Other than that...no fireworks

obviously he doesnt consider core games as real games, gamers dont play them, just grand pas and moms.

Um, there aren't really any such games on the Move right now. Or if there are already, they aren't really being hyped, and a lot of us haven't heard that there are.

resident evil 5 and heavy rain move editions say hello. theyr not move exclusive games, but they are move games considering they made a move edition.

so if a game isnt hyped or known its not a counted? that means that what 20 wii games came out this year?

They don't say that, since they didn't come out to be used with the Move. They were only patched later, even with the retail releases. Name a "core" game out right now that came out with Move compatibility right away. I know Killzone 3 will have it, but it's not out yet. I also know the latest SOCOM game has it, but I don't know if it's out yet.

And if a game isn't hyped or known, it's not a matter of it counting. It's a matter of people not knowing about it. If Reggie didn't know about the game, you can't blame him for therefor not metioning it.

but its still counted as a move game. as you can play it using move.

true, reggie isnt an obssesed gamer like us to know about every game.

"Can" does not make something that when it wasn't part of it to begin with. It just means "can in certain editions".

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

So he basically managed to cunningly convey:

  • Move and Kinect do different things better than the other - cunning extrapolation, neither is fully capable and each has genre weaknesses vs Wii which has titles in all genres and only needs one set of controls which it's had from the start
  • Move has a bunch of similarly average titles - cunning extrapolation, Move ain't worth it folks with games like that
  • Kinect has one good game - which sells way less than dance titles on Wii, no wonder he was comfortable mentioning it at least at this juncture - and everything else isn't even worth mentioning - cunning extrapolation, Kinect titles are terrible except for Dance Central, which is just a dance game like we already have on Wii

Man, that is class Trolling by the guy.  Way smooth next to the trash talking PR from the others yet despite sounding polite he basically argued both Move/Kinect are a waste of money right now vs purchasing a Wii and that they both deserve - at least at this point - to be flashes in the pan with weak game support.

Not saying I agree BTW - I have a damn PS3/Move and will probably get Kinect for my 360 - but that was smoothly done.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Those aren't really Move games, but patches for it, even if they have separate releases.

I'm not just arguing semantics, since I should have stated this earlier. I'm arguing from the POV of people who don't try to look at all the gaming info. They don't see those as Move games, since those were not released as such. This includes Reggie, who at least knows to keep up with this information.

Thus it doesn't matter if the editions have controls, they are not seen as Move games. A Move game from the ground up will likely have the hype and marketing, which is what's needed for most gamers to see it as such.

When some games come out with hype that they are Move games, then gamers will know those games are on it. As it is, it just looks like a Wii clone overall, especially with software sales as low as they are. Then again, even Kinect only has a couple software hits (excluding Adventures, which is bundled).

didnt i drop that already. my comment was refering to the stealth troll of reggie.

And my argument is why it was not, as most gamers are unaware of games counting as Move games unless they were specifically made for it.
