people always said that mario and sonic would be a failure. but the game is going to hit 1 million before the end of 2007. ( lots of analysts said that wii owners never buy games! they have been proven GREATLY wrong!!!)

pro evo 2008 on the ps3 has outsold the same game on the 360
and both assasins creeds have almost sold the same
and the ps3 does that with almost half the userbase in europe

Your doing too many assumptions.  All we are looking at are place values.  How close are far away they are is not available.  

 

Now judging by this report we may have PS3 undertracked by about 50k tops but its nothing too drastic.

I have already post the software charts in the pal charts thread of week 49, and i ask prosugno to post them in the begin of the thread for the week 47. So, it's not a new info for me the software charts.

But hardware information is new (400,000 ps3), and more comparable with the last numbers give by sony (100,000 ps3 sold since price drop during 1 month), so i think, it's right, and possible, because ps3 is really good in France since price drop.
Today is the first day, where i see really pes 2008 on this plaltform, so during 6 weeks, the game was sold out, or very hard to find.

So, and it's my opinion, the famous number of jeuxfrance (270,000 ps3, when 500,000 360) is certanly a number they find at vgchartz, and not a true number give by official source.

Conclusion, the ps3 is strong in France, Germany, Spain and Italy., where the 360 is weak.

The 500k figure was given by MS.The PS3 being at 400k after only 9 months is truly great.Wii and PS3 are the way to go in France.

When no source is given I think it's best to assume the figures are shipped. Still, at this time of year consoles shouldn't be sat on shelves for very long, so there should only be a week or two's difference between shipped and sold (to consumers). Seems that SCE France are on track for their 2007 500,000 target. It seems that the 40Gb/price drop has had it's biggest impact in France, although it's difficult to tell since we haven't received much data from many other European countries since then.
