In New Zealand, and maybe in Aussie too, as it's an Aussie company. I was in the EB Games store today (buying Dragon Age Origins for cheap) and the in store announcement went something like: "Upgrade to a Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 today by trading in your Nintendo Wii and get an extra $20 for your trade in".
I almost laughed at the nerve of a retailer essentially dissing the number 1 console with the implication that it's an inferior machine to the other machines on offer.
I guess it might also mean EB Games is a bit short on used Wii's to sell, and/or has a few more 360s and PS3s in stock than what they expected post Christmas.
Anyone else come across gaming retailers openly offering to trade in one current gen console in order to sell another?
