3.) No you do not understand what I am saying. You claimed that just because there were predeccessors of those titles you listed, they would not push significant numbers of hardware. That is a blatant lie whether it was intentional or not. There are so many examples of this such as Halo Reach, CoD, Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted 2, etc. Assuming this was correct though, you defeated part of the first part of your original statement, which was that Gears3 and Halo 1 remake would help boost hardware sales above the previous year.

Kinect's influence doesn't end because it becomes 11 weeks old on this week. It is quite possible Kinect has only used up less than 1/2 of the original boost although that will be spread out over the year or a few years rather than over 1/5th of a year.

short explanation it wont have the boost in the summer it did this year

i also dont think in EMEAA it will be wii ps3 360 b/c this yr the ps3 and wii gap is not even a 1M apart so far even w/o latest shipment figures and we all know PS3 is going to be stepping up its game for 2011 alot more than it has in 2010

how much did halo reach push 100k units?

call of duty 4 (relaunch of series) push mabye a couple million (Not at first but with legs but modern warefare 2 not many. same with black ops.

gran turismo pused mabye a couple hundred thousand units (GT5p wasnt really a full game)

uncharted 2 didn't push much hardware i imagine

 

Those ARE NOT HUGE NUMBERS huge numbers in my opinion sell 1-3 million consoles. games like wii sports, mario kart, wii fit, call of duty 4, New super mario bros are huge system sellers. I believe Kinect will belong in that catagory

You said it would not boost the wii by that much because they have predeccesors of those franchises on the console already. That is not logical. Also, you still do not understand what I am saying. Your statements contradicted each other in your original post.

This IS logical. Gears 1 pushed far more hardware than gears 2 (That's an example). Halo 3 pushed a lot more than reach. Little big planet 1 will push more hardware than little big planet 2. works for pretty much everything.

I do understand. It's just all the "system sellers" that OP mentioned were sequals. I believe the sequals in 2011 trump the sequals last year.
