Who knows, maybe 2011 will be the 360's year with Kinect of course.

Kinect demand isnt going to die anytime soon and Wii will return to the trend it was going in through October. So yes 360 will outsell the Wii in 2011.

Wii is getting a 50$ price cut and sales will pick up. Furthermore, expect Nintendo do to extra plusus with the Wii like new bundles, colours... and model. A new Wii slim/lite will also boost hardware sales the way 360 did last June or PS3 did some years ago. And don't forget the Wii Vitality sensor, what's Nintendo planning to do with it?

hahaha, every year something is going to happen... and we all know how it ends. To be honest i don't know if XBOX will sell more than Wii, but i don't believe it matters at this point.

Anyway it is a definate possibility if you consider that both Xbox 360 and Wii sales were boosted temporarily by different short term effects during the year. For the Wii it was bundles and different colours/temporary $149 price cuts? whilst for the Xbox 360 it was a redesign and Kinect. However I suspect that Kinect may be more sustainable and with Nintendo focused on launching the 3DS in 2011 they may have to divert more of their resources whereas Microsoft and the Xbox 360 do not have that same situation.

Given the new nature of the Kinect platform it is significantly more ripe to be boosted in the medium term by games coming out. Also we are not yet done with the sales boost that Kinect has bought the Xbox 360 given the 50% attach rate for new systems from what I heard to Kinect. Beyond this given the relatively higher price of Kinect Xbox 360s at this time there is likely a lot of sensitivity to price cuts as if Microsoft cuts either or both the Kinect price and the mainline console price, then the price of the bundles could fall significantly and demand could raise significantly likewise.

But overall I think it is quite difficult to actually call without having a clear idea of how sales drop into particular patterns post Christmas and without any applicable adjustments which might change the picture significantly. Perhaps in another month when sales are within 5% and not up to 20% off their actual rates we could start to see patterns emerging. It isn't so obvious yet to call it either way before the sales numbers are tightened up with adjustments.

So unless somthing crazy happens I wouldn't hold my breath. The wii sell until summer. Sales will be done but everyone will have their sales down also. So its not a wii only thing

Doubt it. Wii is a holiday gift, like Kinect. If Wii down, Kinect too. Also, Slim effect will be off.

All depends on new strategies, like cut price, and of course Software. Motion controls, Wii image, Slim and Kinect won't be factors.

Microsoft had Kinect, the Slim, Halo, and Fable this year and they still didn't take down the Wii. It looked close for awhile, but Nintendo utterly obliterated the Christmas season worldwide and I see no reason why next year would be any different.

Kinect is obviously huge, but I don't see it being as big as it was this Christmas ever again. Microsoft spent half a billion advertising it, and there's no way they can keep that up

Nintendo has Skyward Sword, and they can afford to drop the price on the Wii whenever they want. The last price drop was in September 2009, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a 25-50 dollar drop sometime in 2011. The Last Story will be big in Japan, though it remains to be seen what kind of legs it will have. There's also Dragon Quest X and Pikmin 3, but we don't have any information about those other than that they exist.

And there's no reason Nintendo couldn't throw together a bundle with a title like Donkey Kong Country Returns or Wii Party, along with some new color of the console.

I also think the Xbox 360's sales could be affected by the PS3. If Sony were to introduce a $199 SKU to go along with their crazy lineup for next year, it could really cut into the Xbox 360's potential audience.

If Kinect, Halo and slim couldn't do it this year, I don't whatever is next year will do it
