One shall enjoy the predictability of most users response here.  How insecure one has to be about his own console to go all defensive over a single person's opinion. 

Some are even mentioning e-peen contest as being the reason of the article, yet they act even more like they are in a e-peen contest by childishly spouting things like "PC (or 360) is better for blah blah blah, how dare he thinks differently" .  Quite the irony there, I must say.

Seriously, like many others have said, the hell should you care if others don't prefer the same things a you?

Definitely one of the top two dumbest things I've ever read. This is a perfect example of why I avoid the IGN articles that start with "Why I...." It sounds like he's just trying to justify the purchase of a PS3. He could've kept all that shit to himself.

But he doesn't know what is coming, anymore than I do.  I didn't attempt to form an opinion because I know that at this point noone is in a position to form a reliable opinion on the end quality of each console's line-up for 2011.

Well thats not true considering that over half a dozen titles headed to the PS3 next year are sequels to games that scored really well with critics. Your talking about Lair but that game was a new IP. These games coming are established and well liked titles.

He took a look at what each consol has to offer next year. Seen MS only have 2 established titles announced so far that scored pretty well with critics, took a look at what the PS3 had to offer and made his opinion based on that. Thats enough to form a very reliable opinion in my books.

This I agree.  All three consoles have enough, what I consider hardcore games, to make it a hardcore console.  But what I do agree with the Hillary as he has implied is that the PS3 is more hardcore than the Xbox 360 because of Sony's commitment to their hardcore 1st and 2nd party support, similar to Nintendo's

Hey, in critical news, I will be converting attention away from story driven games more, to game games.  LittleBigPlanet 2 await.  Also looking to run a Pinball FX2 league coming up, if anyone is interested... and on a quest to find the best retro gamers in the world, and have them compete in the King of CADERS event... it is like UFC, but involving games like Pacman.  Using Game Room to make it manageable. 

Ok, not sure what is critical about it, but if someone is "switching to the PS3", I guess my stuff matters to.
