He still has 360 fanboyism in him. He was delusional enough to say that Forza is better that GT.

It could be better to many people just as a racer. But as a sim, it seems to be generally agreed upon that GT is superior.

Can you still play "bumper cars" in the corners in GT5? If so then, GT5 is not a better sim having the same critical flaw that GT1 had on PS1.

Indeed, the "bumping cars" thing is the only thing important to take into account when deciding what makes a sim a good one.  To hell with car handling and physics. ¬_¬

Gran Turismo released in 1997. Gran Turismo 5 released in 2010. GT5 should not have the same unrealistic flaw as GT1, GT2, GT3, and GT4. So if it has the same "bumper car" flaw as the original game in the series had two hardware generations ago, then simulation aspect is inherently flawed.

Whats wrong with all of it being important? Smashing into a wall or another car at 160 miles an hour and then driving away at full speed with no mechanical damage to the car is not exactly sim like.

**yawn

You can bump into cars the same, but as you progress through the game, damages become a part of the equation.  If you bump into cars, not only does it affect the cars behavior/handling, you have to be ready to spend lots of cash to repair your cars, making it harder to progress further in the game since you may not have the cash necessary to buy the cars required to take part in higher level events.

Now, it's not like a car in real life is supposed to explode when getting into contact with an other one during cornering. ¬_¬

Mechanical damage is a toggle option in Arcade Mode, and it's implementation in GT Mode depends on the level of the race in which you're competing.  A level 20 race will have significant repercussions for hitting other drivers, for example, alongside much more challenging AI and other gameplay changes, while a level 1 race will be far more simplistic.

When you know so little about one of the two games, it sounds more like you're simply trying to champion your preffered franchise rather than do any sort of proper comparison.

Granted, the other guy wasn't much better, but at least he didn't question basic information we've known about for over a year.

So who cares? All of this is a simple opinion piece. Some will agree, some wont. I never hopped on the IGN hate bandwagon before, but they are becomming lazy with articles like this one :|

And the achievment vs. trophy comparison was plain BS. I bet that pretty much everybody who has above 20k achievment points will prefer XLA titles and not PSN titles.

unless you are talking about somebody who doesn't give a rat's ass about Achievement Points or Trophies like me who sold my 360 just because i don't give a rat's ass. The best XBL game imo is still Castle Crashers, which is now on PSN as well, best part is I only had to buy one copy to get 4 people to play with me and still 1 PS3 activation left in case my PS3 bites the dust. That's less than 4 bucks per person for that game.

The day I e-peen about Achievement Points or Trophies or anything of that sort on the internet is the day I point a fucking shotgun in my mouth and pull the trigger, seriously.

Definitely one of the top two dumbest things I've ever read. This is a perfect example of why I avoid the IGN articles that start with "Why I...." It sounds like he's just trying to justify the purchase of a PS3. He could've kept all that shit to himself.

No he can't, it's his job to write that shit, you and I, we keep that shit to ourselves because we don't need to do that to make money.

Alot of people saying who gives a shit, but no one said who gives a shit when toastboy makes a thread to say why he likes Live better than PSN, same case, personal opinion, who cares right? But it seems it isn't the case... x)

He made the thread to discuss the differences between PSN and XBL with other members (though I can agree his thread history isn't exactly the greatest).

This one is just a random opinion, which is honestly nothing serves nothing more than food for e-penis wars. Though I will agree some of the people saying "who gives a shit" are just saying it because it doesn't fit their criteria.

@makingmusic: Just as I thought, then.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Yup, I just pointed out there were more of them here than in toastboy's thread. And btw here, who's Hilary? is that dude even known?
