Forums - Sales - *Can 360 or PS3 get a 20 Million seller?*

No. Their userbse is not the same that has Wii. Wii appeals to all people, while PS360 to a more experience (in videogames) users.

Yeah, I'm sure The Last Gaurdian will propel to 20 million quick!

Probably not, unless MS decides to only sell the Kinect bundles or puts in Adventures with a normal 360.

If it does become bundled with every 360 I wouldn't count it if it did reach 20 Million.

Kinect Adventures will cross 20 mill if it remains bundled, quite easily in fact.

Any other game .. nah.

Which isn't a bad thing, it shows library diversity.

... Or the power of bundling because basically you buy Kinect, you buy KA... (cf Wii Sports) Nothing to do with library diversity.

I don't count Wii Sports or Resort because they were bundled with the console for a long period of time and you had to get the games to get the system there was/is no way around it. I do however count New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Mario Kart Wii because they both have come with systems before but you can also buy a Wii without those games...so it doesn't automatically cross the 20 Million mark like Wii Sports.

Kinect Adventures is the same way if it crosses 20 Million I will count it as its not required when you buy a 360...when you buy Kinect yes but again its like Wii Fit its included with the Balance Board not the system itself.

It's bundled with Kinect, people want Kinect before they want KA, because they're other games on Kinect. So counting it is pointless. Seriously, balance board and Kinect are two different things, come one...

I suppose I am not experienced in video games even though I have been playing since Atari 2600 days.

I think it more has to do with Mario selling like crazy (Mario Kart, NSMB) and Wii Play benefiting from being bundled with a remote.  Having a high install base only ensures that Mario games sell even more.

I am going to ride the whole KA horse thingy majingy, orrr, if COD continues to grow YoY and in two years time, the second game from Treyarch, most likely COD9:Black Ops, What We Did Next, or COD9:BO,WWDN for short will most likely sell close in a region of ~15-17 on 360 alone, not quite 20, but reasonably close, by then the userbase should be bigger therefore the legs will likely be a bit longer in the year that is usually a lifecycle for COD games.

To be fair games sell better on 360, top 10 cuts off at Halo 3 ODST, at about 5.7M whereas PS3 cuts off at 4.2M, a full 1.5M lower, besides that 11-20 for 360 is PURELY free of FPS lol, I JUST LOOKED and realized haha. If anything, top 50 or million sellers should be used to determine the dominance of a genre on a specific console, 360 will probably win with a ton of FPS anyway, but meh.

KINECT ADVENTURES!

Kinect might reach 20 million but what makes you so sure that they won't replace the game at a certain point?

Perhaps we will see new bundles in the future.

Only Kinect Adventures has a shot, nothing else
