Why don’t you just hide your 360? I never let kids and people I do not know play with my stuff if I am not there. The DVD’s will get scratched and like your 360 it will be abused!  

Good idea! Buy your in-laws some presents, on the condition that they don't touch your 360.

The automatic shutdown is a lie, thankfully my game was running off hard drive while I was gone for the weekend (forgot to shut it off before I left.)

Is your 3 year extended warrantee up?

Mine expired in November (still on my original console), but it's rarely on for too long even when it's used. I actually wouldn't mind buying a 250GB/Kinect bundle seeing as how the 20GB SKU HDD is pretty useless in addition to being louder than any PC I own. Just can't justify the purchase until it breaks though.

I don't know.  I'll go to Xbox.com and see if they'll repair it.  I'm kinda having a good time looking pathetic and making my gf feel guilty, though.  I think I can get a 250gb Slim if I play my cards right.

I went to Xbox.com and did the troubleshooting.  I got Star Ocean to play!!  I had to go to "clear my cache".  I doubt this will be a long term fix, but while the game is working I'm gonna play it!!

Is it the unreadable disc message?  Cause I had that and I fixed it...its actually quite easy (if your ok with opening up you 360)
