And its such a mediocre game.

It may not be as good as Melee, but mediocre is a bit hurtful, no?
|
I didnt think it was anything special, if you swapped the characters for original characters nobody would care about it at all.
Its story was dreadful, very childish.

As was Galaxy 2. Does that make it mediocre?
I've played Brawl for around 250 hours now, and have never thought it was "mediocre"
Name me a fighting game with a good story then. I assume Melee wasn't any better in your eyes then

Galaxy 2 had good gameplay though.
Tekken has a good overall story as a series, Dissidia had a decent story though that also had mediocre gameplay, Dragon Ball Z and Naruto games have a decent story.
But with Brawl it involved a bunch of people who cant speak any dialogue, getting turned into trophies by a gun that shot arrows, and fighting a hand and then a Tron wannabe. perhaps the characters should you know talk, like with other games.

Do you like Nintendo as a company? Do you like their IPs? IF so, then Brawl is for you. It's a reunion of some of the greatest characters fighting against each other. None of them talk reallly in their respective games. It's not "nintendo"
If not, Brawl isn't for you. However, it's clearly for 10million people, and more. So it's not mediocre. In your eyes, the story drags it down. Fair play, it's lame. But it's a FIGHTING game. You know, you FIGHT. It's supposed to be ridiculous, different, and Brawl nails it for me.
It's not mediocre, it's mighty fine
