Forums - Sales Discussion - Canadian NPD numbers - November 07

According to all numbers I could find for Canada Wii isn't very far behind Xbox 360 anymore in Canada. For Wii I only miss October numbers, for Xbox 360 I miss December 2005, March 2007 and October 2007. Without those numbers they are completely tied, but Xbox 360 will have sold more combining the 3 missing months compared to the 1 missing month for Wii. If I have to make a guess the gap will be around 30k after November.

looks like Canada is closer to European sales trends than it is the USA.

Does that mean MS has only a real hold in USA and UK?

Only if you consider the 360 outselling the PS3 almost 2:1 every single month of the year except the month of the first pricedrop (July) and second pricedrop (Nov) not a hold.

That doesn't match any european trends. PS3 actually outsells the competition more than one month a year in European countries.

Goog work koffieboon, especially the March Wii extrapoltation. Hopefully we'll get 2007 figures in January to make up for the missing data from March and October.

PS3 is gaining ground.
