so vgchartz underestimated the ps3 by 30,000 and overestimated the 360 by by 50,000 and the wii by 100,000...overall pretty solid in my opinion.

Given that both estimation systems clain 10% margin of error that would mean tat if they are within 20% of each other we call ti a tie.  And considering  that only the PSP was more than 10% different, I would say it is better than just solid. VGChartz is on like Donkey Kong.

Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

or the contrary...we are talking about sources that have a similar degree of accuracy

Source? Also, anyone care to calculate how that will compare with our data in combination with the U.S. data?

GameSpot has an article about it :

Very good sales for PS3 in Canada this month ,its now nearly neck and neck with the 360 there .And the combined Canada+US sales are some 520K ,just the same as the 360 did in NOvember 2006 when the Gears of War launch .Not bad in my opinion .

Great numbers this week from Canada, considering the wii is no where. I'm surprised the 360/PS3 are so close.

Gotta give credit where credit is due.  VG Charts was pretty good for the month. Some of the software was off a bit, expecially Guitar Hero 3 for the PS2, but on hardware it was a good month for them. PSP was the only one off by more than 10%.

EDIT... Nevermind, i called you out for no reason (should have read the numbers properly)

may as well work ou the percentage difference with my wasted post.

DS: -4.3%
Wii: +8.9%
360: +6.4%
PS2: +4.0%
PSP: -13.2%
PS3: -5.6%

I find it very odd that last quarter ioi had to keep adjusting down for NPD with DS, and then decided when the quarterly shipment numbers came out that NPD seemed wrong,..Then NPD decided not to release number monthly anymore..... followed by a backlash, and now DS is higher in NPD.
I am starting to believe NPD are just be being gits about this whole thing.

While i am here: Canadian percent of each console according to NPD (naturally lower han the normal 10% at this time of year due to thanksgiving in the USA)

DS: 7.3%
Wii: 7.7%
360: 7.1%
PS2: 5.7%
PSP: 5.5%
PS3: 9.9% (clearly the price drop/40G had a better effect in Canada... as last time i read Canada NPD, PS3 wasn't doing well)
