Actually, Game Boy did 32.47m in Japan (shipped). So DS isn't quite there yet. Pretty likely to happen within a month of when the 3DS launches though. DS is over 32m in Japan by VGC numbers now. Will approach 32.2m - 32.3m in Japan by year end. Should fall to 30k - 50k pretty quickly after that though. Might not happen until the end of January.

Well yes, but its way behind GT4 and tracking much lower, sooner.

32.47M does that include GB and GBC? I wonder why they combine it, isn't GBC the successor of GB, or are they both the same apart fromt he color in GBC?

GB and GBC were nearly the same, one just had color. Its like DS & DSi. No one really counts them seperately. Latter models had some exclusive titles but basically expanded the lifespan of the games made for the originals.
