Wait... I read GT gave a 8.0 to GT5 before... what happened now???

Well it is the best racing game ive played this year despite a few problems... Its been my favorite racing game this generation..... 

so its gt5? hurray! if not then shame on you gt!

btw all these games were great they all deserve the award excpect for Split Second i don't know why its in that list, its boring and mediocre.

also that term "Kart Racer for adults" is stupid

GT5 is honestly the best racing game I've played this generation hands down. Ask anyone whos on my friends list. Since I got the game I havn't been able to put it down. I've even ACB, F.NV, Vanquish and Black ops just sitting there collecting dust basicly. I've even learned what all the tuning stuff does and I can tune cars to perfection now and I'm not even that into cars but GT5 has definitley changed that for me. It definitley deserves a game of the year award.

Although its strange. Only 7 of my PSN buddies own the game but they havn't played it for weeks so I don't know if its just me that loves the game and they hate it or that they want to finish other games first before tackling the game. Strange yeah?

Whether it is an 8/10 or not that score came from just ONE member of the GameTrailers staff. However, when a game is decided upon to win something like a Racer of the Year or even a Game of the Year the voting is done by the ENTIRE staff. 

This is why it doesn't always go to the highest scoring game, because understandably the rest of the staff may not agree with the person who reviewed said game.

This is how Demon's Souls won GoTY from Gamespot last year.

This also shows why people shouldn't put too much stock into review scores, because 8 times out 10 the metascores don't agree with the user scores or a site's staff as a whole. It is only the review of one person, just like you or me.

When I read the title and saw that it was ethomaz who'd posted it... I knew the answer right away and I was correct :D
