Sadly this didn't happen, because HD is more "shiny"

We'll have to agree to disagree there.

I should think gold is more shiny than HD, xD.

Perhaps. But developers were blinded by how awesome it could be, without any long-run plans, such as the high costs of development, hence why the Wii was stuck with the rubbish for a long time. Gladly, things are changing now!

I guess it's also why i prefer games on HD as they feel like they cost more money to make :|

What I want from a game.

Gameplay > Story > Content > Graphics

Visual Style > Graphics

Smooth Camera, Intuitive Controls

Friction! When everything feels right!

Around the Network

I would buy a Wii HD next generation if it includes the following:

1 - Backward Compatibility for GC and Wii games

2 - DVD playback with Upscale 1080p capability

3 - Better storage - eg. 250gb Hard drive or using any laptop hard drive

4 - Another kick butt Mario Kart game :)!

^Ditto.

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

HD is pretty pointless if the games aren't good enough to ive up to it's graphics. And ironically, most PS3 games e.g. Uncharted 2 don't have full HD setting, if I remember correctly.

Above: still the best game of the year.

Exactly this. And, of course, another Monster Hunter game

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
