Forums - Gaming - Do not buy X-men Arcade!

Gamers, I implore you!! If you're interested in X-men Arcade, I suggest you do not get it because the game has one huge flaw that ruins the whole game, and that is unlimited lives/continues.

Every online game I've been to was filled with spammers. Players constantly abuse their mutant powers, kill themselves and respawn with their mutant powers replenished. Repeat until campaign is done. It takes away all the challenge and fun out of the game. It doesn't force you to get any better, and there's no penalty for dying. No points are deducted or anything of that sort. I beat expert mode, and I didn't feel like I accomplished something. This is what happened in every game I've been to:

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGH!

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGH!

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGH!

*dies*

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGH!

AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGH!

This game is a joke and loses its appeal very fast. $10 down the drain :(

I can't remember the last time I saw a Game over screen to be honest...

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

The game welcomes you to die, you just missed the point.

Cost to buy Xmen Arcade and finish it over and over again til your hearts content = $10

Cost to actually finish Xmen Arcade at the arcades just once = $50 in quarters lol jk

Reminds me of Bioshock all over again. You know whats awesome about Tales of Vesperia?

GAME OVER SCREENS.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Not worth 800 MSP, thats for sure

Yeah what were they thinking? I LOVED PLAYING THIS as a kid in the arcades. The port is admirable and has tons of bonus features (jap version).

Why not make an option to limit continues/lives? How hard would that have been for them?

Still 800 MSP to relive a tiny bit of my childhood... even though it is indeed now tainted. :(
