So I have this weird lump on the right side of my scalp. I've had it for years (can't remember exactly when I realsied I had it). Sometimes it hurts and gives me a headache, byt that's very very very rare.

I also have a lump on the backside of my right ear. That one doesn't hurt at all ever.

If this were a tumor I assume I'd be dead by now, right?

Anyone (hopefully people who are doctors) got any ideeas what it may be?

why not go see a real doctor? that is what i am doing when i have mediacal questions and problems.

1. I'm afraid of doctors.

2. My family doctor is on the other side of the city (really need to change doctors), and the traffic is terrible 'cause of all the snow.

Don't worry. It's NOT a brain tumor. You can't feel or see brain tumors in the head. They're deeper inside.

Does the right lump hurt when touching it? It's probably an infection or skin problem.

Go see a real doctor. NEVER ask medical advises from the internet!

i don't think so, because the tumor would be outside your skull. dangerous are the ones inside.

but i am not a doctor, i'm just assuming

Could well be a tumour, just not an malignant one. Lots of people have benign tumours. Could also be a cyst, I've got one of them (funny lump that is apparently harmless according to the doc). But if its hurting it could mean its infected or something nasty like that, I'd go see a doc if I were you.

Well fuck me, I can't believe this, I have like the same exact thing xD

A lump on the backside of my head on the right and another smaller lump just under my right ear. I too often thought they might be tumors or some shit but they never hurt and I've had them for years. I've absolutely no idea about what exactly they could be, never saw a doctor about that. I've all kinds of weird, painless issues by the way, like ridiculous fat deposits under the skin in my fingers which make them look tubby and ugly (I went to see a doctor about that, at first he said that I had arthritis or something, which fortunately turned out to be bullshit) and stuff, so yeah.

Just don't think too much about that, maybe that's why you that lump hurts at times.. you know, out of self-suggestion. Of course, go see a doctor if you're really worried, the guys here are right, asking for medical advice on the Internet isn't the most wise thing to do..

Btw, I'm usally a lurker here, I just logged in because I couldn't not answer to the op here:P Sorry for my possibly broken English.
