OMFG Wii.

Wasn't expecting the small drop for 360, I thought it would kick on. Was there a special on the previous week or something? Means 360 gap over PS3 WW will be under 100K, which is also lower than I expected to see.

Happy with 174K for GT5, means another good week world wide. Should be 4 million next week.

GT5 is having ridiculous legs, and Halo Reach will be over 200k WW!!  Black Ops will most certainly become the best selling 360 game...just ridiculous numbers.

360 looks like it is having shortages....hopefully MS can keep up with demand.

Same about games, who screamed games like DKCR will be 'doomed' in threads? not the HD fans, they did say expectations might not be met but they never said it was doomed. Um, I don't recall anyone saying COD would sell anywhere near best on Wii. I think ONE uninformed gamer recently made the comment that COD: Black Ops could sell better on the Wii, and I believe he only said better than the PS3 version.

Meanwhile, I've seen SEVERAL people claiming the Wii would in a price cut this holiday or it was 'in trouble,' or that Kinect would propell Xbox 360 ahead of the Wii this holdiay. Wii fans obviously don't mean people are actually saying 'doomed,' they're just using that term as a generalization to people saying or implying that it would do much worse than it actually ended up doing this holiday and its sales would fall off a cliff. As is the case of DKC, many people, particularly HD console fans, simply VASTLY underestimated the sales, that's it.

Also, Mario Kart and GT5 not in the same genre?? Ok.. Sure one is a SIM racer and one is an ARCADE racer, but at the end of the day they are both racers.

Oh, as for the GT5 to Mario Kart comparison in relation to the FPS sales on HD consoles comparison to Wii..

While I don't think it's exactly fair to compare Mario Kart to GT5, there is a pretty big difference between that and the FPS situations. GT5 is a MAJOR Sony franchise, one that everyone expected rocket PS3 sales and sell 10 million easilly. While FPS games on Wii, well nobody expects those to do well, and third parties generally don't put forth anywhere near the effort or advertising the HD offerings recieve.

So ironically, YOUR comparisons of well.. the comparisons, are not exactly fair either M.U.G.E.N. :/
