HD fans will point how sales have declined on the wii compared to previous years. They will point out how PS3 actually managed to outsell wii in more weeks this year in Japan. But I have almost never seen a HD fan say wii is 'doomed'...it's usually Ninty fans respond with that statements to threads, and posts like that. They scream wii is doomed in one week when it's not doing so hot and on the next week when the holiday boost kicks in, they say omg look at the doomzed console now lololol..who are they 'lol'ing at? themselves? Same about games, who screamed games like DKCR will be 'doomed' in threads? not the HD fans, they did say expectations might not be met but they never said it was doomed. THis is like a weekly joke now to me so tell me this if I did
OR if I point out that Black Ops 360 (and ps3 version too almost) outsold black ops Wii LTD sales this week alone what purpose would that have? It's useless at this point, we all know what the wii can and can not do in some genre that's what I pointed at the very begining of this whole argument. Few Wii fans chose to compare MKwii to GT5, why? For what reason? Heck they are not even the same genre. It's useless and nothing but to downplay GT5 sales, which are btw not too shabby at this point. I sincerely hope I got my point across. These types of posts are there to get a rise out of the other side, that would have been remotely acceptable if at least they were comparable on some ground at least. |
Um, I don't recall anyone saying COD would sell anywhere near best on Wii. I think ONE uninformed gamer recently made the comment that COD: Black Ops could sell better on the Wii, and I believe he only said better than the PS3 version.
Meanwhile, I've seen SEVERAL people claiming the Wii would in a price cut this holiday or it was 'in trouble,' or that Kinect would propell Xbox 360 ahead of the Wii this holdiay. Wii fans obviously don't mean people are actually saying 'doomed,' they're just using that term as a generalization to people saying or implying that it would do much worse than it actually ended up doing this holiday and its sales would fall off a cliff. As is the case of DKC, many people, particularly HD console fans, simply VASTLY underestimated the sales, that's it.
Also, Mario Kart and GT5 not in the same genre?? Ok.. Sure one is a SIM racer and one is an ARCADE racer, but at the end of the day they are both racers.
