Vanquish.

On closer inspection, I realize you weren't asking a question. But I stand by my answer.

I nominate this for shortest game of the year.

I nominate your penis for shortest game of the year!

It's a game? O.O Where's my money then biotch!

It's freeware!

And still nobody plays it. It's a strong contender for Ignored Game of the Year in its own right.

I are now sad panda. :'(

Ignored Games of the Year?

Hmm....

All platformers.  Stupid VGAs didn't even have an award for them, in the year that had Mario Galaxy 2, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Mickey, Sonic, LIMBO, Super Meat Boy, BIT.TRIP RUNNER, Cave Story, and many others.

All Japanese games.

All Nintendo games that don't have Mario.

All handheld games, especially iPhone games.

All downloadable games, especially WiiWare, and double especially BIT.TRIP games.

We're at the point where we shouldn't just have "best downloadable game" or 3 awards, one for WW, one for XBLA, and one for PSN.  We should have "best downloadable platformer," "best downloadable puzzle game," etc. etc., on the side of the best retail games.  I think looking at every single game on WW/XBLA/PSN and then giving an award to a single title is nuts.  If everybody's going to do that, I want to at least see a Top 5.

More like Best Ignored VGC Exchange of the Year.  Until you ruined it.

Well now you just sound like my mother...

Monster Hunter Tri is sorta hard to categorize. Not really an RPG (or at least it certainly couldn't compete with something like New Vegas, Mass Effect 3, FF13, or even Dragon Quest IX in terms of elements that are widely regarded to be RPG-y), and it's not an MMO (and even if it were classed as an MMO, console MMOs never get big accolades), and it's going to be handily beat by a few more high-profile games within the Wii category

For "PSO Clone" or "Diablo-esque," Monster Hunter Tri is the superior game this year, but those aren't widely developed categories.

Now for "most infuriatingly broken boss/enemy in a game," Monster Hunter Tri does stand out, or rather Rathalos does

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Japanese Games, Japanese Games everywhere!

Pixel Art can be fun.
