Yeah, Metroid Fallout Star Wars Harry Potter Lord of the Rings Zelda Final Fantasy fans make me chuckle

Some of those definitely apply, but I hardly think Star Wars or Lord of the Rings can be counted. Most Star Wars fans do agree on many things (the old trilogy is the one that matters) and I don't see how the LOTR is super split either.

XIII was in actual development for around 1 and a half years. The post mortem report on the game's development sheds light on lots of things. It seems they only realized how to make the game when they had to make a demo for it, terrible management.

The game was big wasted potential because the world and setting was very compelling, but the story was just as boring, the Edge review put it in the best words --  "with a background fiction as rich as its story is poor". A shame because the battle system is one of the best

Taking into account that the developers of the game said Towns and minigames will return in their next game, taking into account FFXIII-2 should get a more focussed development time, the already good battle system and finally the great background setting of the world they have a chance to make a really great game. If it does happen I hope they can do it right this time and not mess up. Most of all they will have to make it good for it to sell and FFXV will be handled by a more competent team.

See, in FF10, this worked. People loved FF10, and got FF10-2 because of this. But seriously, a second inception of a terrible game. Just not smart. Stop wasting time SE, since you can't make good games anymore and recreate FF6/7/8, and re-release 10 with trophies. Be much better than any game they can make in the future. JRPG's are dead. They (Japs) forgot what made the genre great and I am tired of seeing the genre being pushed further into oblivion. Lets just admit it, FF13 didn't help the FF name. Doesn't matter if you liked it, you have to be aware that it's prolly the worst FF game ever made (not including stupid MMO's).

And plus I want to forget Lightning. She is hot, but that's it. She has no personality, prolly just like their developers. All shallow idiots without depth. It has to be why their games blow now... Right? Anyways, yea, get Lightning away forever. They might be hinting for FF13-V or something. That would make any game instantly awful. I don't want another melodramatic POS. FF13 is the only not fun FF game I've ever played and I still play the FF games from the past. Also, people claim FF13 looked amazing. Honestly, I found it bland and boring. The details just aren't there. They didn't kill themselves over modeling, or level design. I wonder where their hard work really was spent. Don't mean to sound like an ass or anything, but being realistic. I bought a PS3 for 3 games, 1 was great (MGS4), 1 was good (GT5) and one was awful (FF13).

Heartbreak, is the only way I can describe FF13 and I just don't want anymore at all.

In your opinion FF13 was good. To me the game had an ok story with unlikeable characters. The antagonists made more sense than the protagonists and the stereotypes were off the charts. That Final Fantasy made me an anti hero fan for the first time. The gameplay was retarded coupling one button combos with a lack of thought. There was no real strategy until you got to huge boss battles. There was no real exploration and the movesets were pointless because eventually everyone had the same moves. No one had identity in battle. The game was broken to kingdom come. People say that this final fantasy was created to draw in newbs to JRPG's. I think it is an insult even to newbs. As far as difficulty and learning curve it was as retarded as Fable 2. Just follow the yellow brick road. The real final fantasy is anything created by Sakaguchi. Do yourself a favor and pick up Lost Odyssey and then play the Last Story on the Wii if you want a real Final Fantasy-esque game created by the man who thought up the series. He no longer makes Final Fantasy and the crap that has come out of SE is a testament to that.
