Yeah, Metroid Fallout Star Wars Harry Potter Lord of the Rings Zelda Final Fantasy fans make me chuckle

Some of those definitely apply, but I hardly think Star Wars or Lord of the Rings can be counted. Most Star Wars fans do agree on many things (the old trilogy is the one that matters) and I don't see how the LOTR is super split either.

Movie lovers vs Book purists, mostly. I suppose the LotR fanbase that existed before the movies is not split, but the modern fanbase certainly is
