IMO, over priced and really no need for one right yet it's too soon, DS is still going strong they could still ride it for a few more years. And I just have a feeling PSP2 is going to kill, Sony seems to got an Ace with this one.

Nintendo 6- 140-160 Million
Xbox 3- 60-110 Million
PS4- 30-80 Million
3DS- 180-200 Million
PSP2- 20-30 Million
iGame?- 10-100 Million
If Nintendo can pull things together like Sony did when the PS2 came out the Nintendo 6 will likely sell more then the Wii and a much stronger 3rd party support.
Depending on the casual market on the Xbox 3 and how well it does in EMAA and Japan. Most likely in Japan the Xbox 3 will be in last place, EMAA much harder to predict. If Microsoft captures the European market then it could push over towards the 100 million mark, in the best case Microsoft captures the Japanese market and it pushes to 110 million. In the worst case it may only push up to 60 in 2nd or last place.
If Sony learns the mistakes they made with the PS4 and recaptures the American market it could push upwards of 80 million consoles. But if they make the same mistakes as they did in 2006 it might lose 3rd party support and sell only 30 million.
The 3DS will sell slow at first but in the first few years when Nintendo lowers the price, sales will explode and in it's 15 year life it will push 150 million .
The PSP2 looks like it will be sadly ignored by 3rd parties and it may cost quite a lot if Sony tries to make it like the phone. If Sony makes it like the phone it may be crushed by the tight iPhone, Blackberry, Android market. If they don't it may look outdated compared to the 3DS and without 3rd party support it will fail to sell.
iGame is very hard to predict. Since it may not even come out. If it gains huge 3rd party and a developing 1st party support it may be in 2nd place, but it may get crushed in the competition and sell only 10 million consoles.
This of course is just a prediction I thought of in about 10 minutes.
"To play or not to play, that is the question."- A wise man
Lifetime sales prediction
Wii 79/150 million
Xbox 360 47.7/73 Million
PS3 43.6/69 Million
Is this a wishful thread or some serious prediction thread? Because by some coments then I say that Wii succesor will sells more than one trillion.
But, reading the op, I think he is asking serious prediction. So, mine:
N6 - 80M
Xbox3 - 58M
PS4 - 55M
3DS . 85M
PSP2 - 39M
I predict a shorter and lower generation.
Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever
Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe
Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor
Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Xbox has already taken over US and UK the two biggest markets, i think by next generation the rest of Europe will jump on over to Xbox and Playstation will end up like Sega.
We don't know anything.. but we know many of the games... based on the fact that the majority of the gammers, likes playng fun games. heres is my prediction.
PS4 addon for PS3 40 mill
Box 720 60 mill
Wii-R 160 mill
3DS 150 mill
PSP2 80 mill
Sony filed a new patent the other day, and it semms like they are gonna stick whit a ps3 addon for next gen..
http://playstationlifestyle.net/2010/12/09/ps3-5-sony-patent-shows-plans-to-increase-ps3s-power-with-external-processor/
next xbox 70mil
next playstation 70mil
next wii 85mil
3DS 100mil
PSP2 40mil
xbox and playstation will be neck and neck again. Wii and DS will lose the biggest % due to casuals getting their gaming needs from their iphones/itouches. These are what i think the sales will be when the 9th gen starts, not nessessarary when the 8th gen consoles stop selling.
lol unless sony makes a console that is like the wii then 300 consoles are in the past next generation the starting price will probably be 500 or something in the past.

Pretty much this ^^ |
Not at this point, their position has been too far eroded, even now they are firmly in third pace with a $300 console
