Well actually the Only 3 latin american countries that have consoles officially released are Mexico , Colombia and Brasil.

Every other Latin american country SW and HW data is irrelevant coz every game and console sold in my country ( argentina ) is imported from USA, so it counts like US SW. And its the same for all the other LA countries excludeing mexico colombia and brazil

That's true... although, In Mexico, lots of consoles and SW are imported too or bought in the states... I bought my 2 ps3 in USA, and i've done that with SW too... I think it would be quite hard to know exactly how well are doing the concoles in Latin America because of this...

That´s because the prices in the USA are cheaper than the mexican ones and the consoles are WAY cheaper on there

That site appears to be offering discounts for hw, and at the current conversion rate Wii is $194 (USA dollars) for instance.

Since you guys are all trying to help I'd like to request that you all list:

1) Major video game retailers in your country.

2) Whether these retailers focus only on games, or whether they focus on electronics, or whether they focus on toys, or whether they focus on general goods.

3) We'd also like links to these stores if they have an online presence.

4) If you guys have time, please provide the number of stores the video games retailers have in your country.

Finally, does Walmart (as it has 1500 stores in Mexico, and over 2000 stores in Latin America) allow users to shop online? I've found a Mexican Walmart website, but there is no online shopping/

Are you serious, lol? No online shopping in Mexico?!, i've made a 5 second research and found walmart... Really that's kinda lame. What do you think is South America?

WOOWW em português!!! Muito bom!

Parabéns pela iniciativa. ^~

Well can you link to it? I seriously couldn't find it - I don't speak or read Spanish so the navigation is hard. When I look for Mexican Walmart on Google it doesnt go to online shopping in the results, only sites concerning their business.

Well in Mexico, one of the biggest retailers is Game planet. It focusses only in games.

Its web page is: http://gameplanet.com/

It has almost 70 stores (http://gameplanet.com/sucursales-y-horarios/ )

There are also big stores like Sanborns, they focus on a lot of goods, but they are big, because they have a lot of presence here in Mexico,

Web page: http://www.sanborns.com.mx/sanborns/

It has 200 stores around Mexico

I gotta go now, but I will be posting more retailers later...
