I was playing poker with my 6-year-old sister, and she told me that she wanted 1 card, raising up a finger while telling me that. From my thread title I think it's pretty obvious which finger it was.

I told her to not do that, but she asked me "why not?". I then told her that it's not nice and appropriate to raise that finger, but that wasn't a good enough answer for her. Now, my sister's the type of evil kid that does exactly the opposite of what you tell her to, so she continued keeping that finger raised, and told me that she likes that finger and she won't stop 'till I tell her what it means.

Any advice on how to solve this?

Well, you shouldn't have said anything about it, or tell her what it means...  Or, just let it go... It's just a finger..

Just say what it means - when I was younger, I didn't know that "piss" was a swear word, and I was just told that it was and I ensured that I never said it.

If it's that much of a problem just break her finger. That'll stop her...

But in all seriousness, just don't react to it. She'll get bored after a couple of hours and just forget about it. If she asks what it means just don't reply, if she shoves it in your face just don't bat an eyelid. Kids thrive on attention for things like this.

Tell her, that finger is the devil's favorite snack and if she keeps doing it. She might attract the devil and when she's asleep the devil will come and take it away from her... Of course this might have some side effects like nightmares or trauma or fear of sleeping. :)

Wash her finger with soap - that'll teach her.

Trying to exaplin that would require explaining many things, which goes beyond what a 6 year old little devil should know.

tell her it means she loves the devil or something negative she know's about, or can relate to.
