I disagree with this thread. After this year I dont see how it can be topped.

Honestly every year I say next year will be the year for me. And with the exception of 2008 I haven't been dissapointed. However next year I really think it won't be as good as I would like. Sure I'm looking forward to Duke , Prototype 2 and LOZ:SkywardSword but honestly what else is their for me. I don't particularily like Gears or Uncharted (Because I never tried it) and the other franchises don't appeal to me as much as some Nintendo love.
Though I think the 3DS will keep me busy with the great titles Nintendo releases.

Going to suck:
M Vs C 3
DMC Reboot
Gears of war 3
LBP2
Crysis 2
Dragon Age 2
Skyrim (consoles)
Going to be mediocre:
Mass Effect 3
Killzone 3
Zelda
Resistance
The Last Guardian
Going to be sweet:
Twisted metal
Infamous 2
Uncharted 3
The witcher 2
Arkham City
Dead Space 2
Stronghold 3
Bulletstorm
Going to be sweet, but not in a "this game is actually good" way and more of a "this game is very fun to dick around in":
Skyrim (PC)
Time for hype

The only problem I see with this occurring is Sony actually finishes a rotation of development cycles all in one year.
I mean MM, GG, Zipper, Naughty Dog, Polyphony (just released GT5) Sucker Punch, Evolution Studios, Eat Sleep Play and Insomniac all releasing a game in one year, what does that leave for 2012?
SCE London, SCE Liverpool, SCE Cambridge, with none of the aforementioned releasing anything big for the PS3 this gen in the way of core titles, and Sony Santa Monica (admittedly that's a big studio with a great portfolio).
With third parties possibly- Quantic Dream or United Front Games.
I'm certainly interested to see how it's going to pan out, but I'm hoping 2011 doesn't end with a draft of titles seeing delays.

2010 WAS a great year, at least for Wii gamers. Hopefully 2011 get even better :)

Being in 3rd place never felt so good
