They're both incredible games so I don't mind a multiplayer component to extend their lifetime. Who knows, it might be a good multiplayer.

He didn't say they needed an online component, he said games need to be "connected", meaning developers have give some kind of service or it has to have multiplayer. Both Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age: Origins are "connected", because they both recieved post launch DLC, so ME3 and DA2 don't need multiplayer for his words to be true.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
I hope not. Those games are known for their strong single player components, adding multiplayer might harm the single player.
Keep the multiplayer a separate unexplained entity only for killing each other and experimenting with skills and stats and equipment. Sounds good to me? Multiplayer doesn't have to make sense, it's just there to prolong life but if they force it into the game then the game is screwed. I don't want a different experience because I didn't give a damn about online.
What I want from a game.

Wasn't a new Bioware studio opened that was pretty much set up to do multiplayer for Mass Effect? I remember reading that GAF, so if there is multiplayer in ME3 it looks like it won't get in the way of the single player campaign.
The Moment BioWare announces a Multiplayer Component to ME3 (which I doubt), I suspect a massive shitstorm is going to stir throughout the net and of course especially at the BioWare Social Forum
I would love to see a co-op feature for Mass Effect 3!!! that would be so sweet(IMO)
i think i remember reading that ME3 will not have MP and is single player only i shall look for that
this isnt what i read but i hope it will do
