Are there alot of Kinects on shelves in Japan or is it hard to find because shops didn't order much, since xbox barely sales over there?  anyone know?

A bit defensive, aren't we? But that's not true, the same couldn't be said about the PS3. You see, the PS3 has been given a fair crack, it's just not as popular... whereas the 360 was virtually DOA in Japan for being an American console. The Wii's success(and pretty much every other console, ever) shows that no such bias exists against Japanese consoles.

I wonder. With this whole PS3, Xbox 360 argument about fairness . . . how much did the PS2 and Xbox sell in the Americas and Japan to establish brand identity?

Idd, Kinect only has voice commands for 3 languages so far (one of them being Japanese) Europe has like 6 big languages, how about getting it to work with those instead of still putting so much effort on Japan?

I think 100k maybe 200k tops. I mean seriously the 360 itself doesn't sell all that well who can expect a peripheral to do much better. Also as many people pointed out you should have 8-10 feet between you and the Kinect something most Japanese homes simply do not have.

Honestly I think BlueDragon gave 360 more of a boost than Kinect is. I think Kinect will disappear from Japan soon. Although I must say Microsoft has kept the 360 there this long despite it being mauled and beaten to hell. So maybe Microsoft will also keep Kinect there too.

But retailers already don't have Kinect on shelves in many locations as I saw reported online. Instead they have a very small section with a sign or something saying ask for the Kinect. If it isn't even worthy of shelf space how can it possibly shift enough units to make it worth while in Japan.

As for Japanese titles exclusive to Kinect? Seriously unless the Japanese title is aimed at North America then I doubt we will see any. Japanese publishers know that Japan centric games don't sell on 360.

Considering the average weekly sales for the 360, Japanese developed games upcoming and a likely 3 holiday focus for Kinect, I went with 250K lifetime.  

To be completely honest, though, without knowing more about upcoming software, its all just wild guessing at this point.  Kojima could release something that's Kinect only and cause a phenomenon over there.  Japanese gamers are extremely predictable at times and completely unpredictable at others.  

Anyway, I say 250,000.

What amuses me is how the polling went, despite Kinect doing 54k so far in 4 weeks in Japan, and having actually increased a tad little bit last week over the week before, majority of people voted for 100k, so the general consensus is that Kinect is only going to sell about 90K more units in the next 2 years? Chyeah.
