And I can not be bothered to restart this game, is there a hell's chance of recovering the data? Also are the RaC:ACIT saves copyable?

Funny, my Black ops data just got corrupted 10 minutes ago.

Happened to a friend of mine in ACIT. His ps3 froze while saving his game, causing the save file to be corrupted. Lost 4 hours of progress.

Still haven't finished it. Hope my save files are alright.

I think you can't copy it.  :( 

I recently had GTA4 auto safe after the game glitched.  Now i'm stuck in perpetual freefall.  The only other save I have is so far back and I don't want to redo any of the motorcycle missions.

For you though it's a good game and not that long.  Maybe you'll be able to come back to it latter but for not it might be time to move onto something else.

I've decided to start making triplicates of my save now. Though I returned the disc because I think the disc was at fault as it froze again.

AH that happend to me! was on the last level of Ratchet and Clank: ToD and got angry, turned PS3 off, turned it back on and boom! it was all gone
