Forums - Website Topics - How does VGChartz has so much old data for Japan?

An example of what I'm talking about: http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales/3108/donkey-kong-country/

We have full data for every week of very old games in Japan, yet we have nothing for other regions (except for LT). How VGChartz came in hands with this data?

That's what happens when you have a slow PC: not only you get double post, you also get double thread.

So? What's your point, ;P?

Anyway, does anyone know how long NPD's been around? If they have data from before VGC's records, maybe at some point VGC could use their data as well as what we know about how games did in America from other sources to get some reasonable historical data from America, :D.
