I sure as hell want a new instalment. I want Sakurai back on it as well, either with Project Sora or without.

I want a new installment too, but I'd rather see someone else than Sakurai work on it.

After all, he insulted competitive gamers, and any kind of balance that was in Melee, he made sure wan't present in Brawl.

I find Brawl more balanced for the average player, and I find I can use a wider range of characters without having to learn them. Removing the Melee 'tricks' (exploits) was good too. Competitive gamers are too small a market for Nintendo to cater to.

Agree. I loved what Sakurai did precisely because it pissed all over the competitive gamers. He should have spited them more by eliminating the ability to turn off certain items or stages: force 'em to play the way the game is meant to be played

Also why i really resented the Brawl Plus mod when that emerged. Usually i prefer when games allow you to play the way you want and not force you into a box, but that just shows you how much i hate the competitive Smash Bros scene

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

16-bit Micheal Jackson deserves a showing in the new ssb installment.

Also, IGN is working with Wikileaks in order to get this information, no doubt about it.

If true is a instant buy

Has anyone considered the possiblity that since this is a title best suited for consoles, if this is indeed in the works it could actually be for the Wii?

If so, that would be the Wii's big (HUGE) holidays 2011 title.

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

Im afraid my 3DS will break in the process of playing this game at a high level of play. I guess I'll try to go easy on it.

I wouldn't read to far into it. I mean they are bound by NDA's and I'm sure someone from such a reputable site would not risk angering Nintendo. As for the possibility, yes I think Nintendo knows the franchise is ready for a handheld treatment. I wouldn't be suprised if it turned out to be real. But I am not about to get my hopes up.

But honestly Nintendo brought MarioParty to the DS and had huge success, they brough MarioKart handheld and had huge success. It would be plausable that they see the same potential in SmashBros. However I don't think that IGN or anyone is going to drop details of a SmashBros title.

Maybe Nintendo is going to unviel it at their event early next year. But I am still doubtful Nintendo already has an all star line-up they have no need to burn themselves out. So I'm going to try and not allow hype and rumours to get me excited.

I doubt that this is in the works now, considering the number of 3DS games already in the works. If the game comes out, I hope that it is a true handheld Smash Bros. Smaller stages to accomodate the smaller screens, a focus of characters from Nintendo portables (Lucas instead of Ness, characters from the handheld Fire Emblems, etc.), stages from handheld games (continuing the same metaphor, Tazmily village instead of Onett), one card multiplayer, etc.

YES, I HATE competitive Smash Bros players, especially when they're doing that IN A NON-COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT! I have friends who do nothing but play Final Destination with all items off. It's so BORING to do that again and again and again. It's not any FUN

Well I play competitively when there is a challenge. Those friends of yours seem pretty boring with this game... Even competitively I don't choose final destination unless someone asks (But i prefer battle field over it any day).

I'm not sure how he pissed all over them when even worse exploits were found in this game than in Melee. Wonder if you know about these Brawl exploits (not in the Brawl plus crap).
