I've always said I can't really abide handheld consoles. But as a phone that also happens to play PSP games I'm interested.

I'll definitely get a PSPhone if:

  1. It can play PSP games (i.e. not just PSP2 games); and
  2. PS3 doesn't get a FW update (I'd even pay for one) to make PSP games playable once PSP dies and is replaced by PSP2.

Because one day I want play Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3, but I don't want to own a handheld console.

Besides I plan to get an android at some stage, so why not a PSPhone?

This is the PSPgo hardware refurbished to a phone, or is it more powerfull?

If this boosts the same graphics as the Iphone4 I could see it being popular between devs.

The games look better on PSP, that is correct.

I hate to admit it, but technically, the iPhone is way more powerful. It has a combined CPU plus GPU at 1GHz and 512MB RAM. In comparison, the PSP has a 333 MHz CPU and 64MB RAM.

but how much of these resources does the phone use for running its OS ? , its designed as a phone first and gaming second.
