3DS killing DS will not be a reason as to why PSP will outsell the DS.

3DS and DS will put sticky goo in PSP's path, and I think DS will top 170M before PSP hits 100M.

More like DS will top 170m before PSP hits 80m (if it even reaches 80m)

Actually there are already 4 potential ten million sellers announced for the 3DS (Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Nintendogs and apparently Brain Age) and figuring in all the other titles announced for the system (about one dozen potential million sellers already) it is pretty much safe to say that there has never been a handheld or home console with comparable support in its first year on the market. I made the mistake of underestimating the 3DS line up myself and was surprised by the selling power of the titles already announced. And we're still 3 months away from launch.

So far the only (PSP2) game with comparable selling power to any of the "big four" mentioned above would be Monster Hunter Portable and that only in Japan.

What Sony really needs is huge software support but it looks like this time Nintendo is actively trying to get developers to develop "hardcore games" for their system. And going by the massive support the system is getting publishers are very confident the 3DS will sell well.

If only Sony would announce the PSP2. That would help to get a better idea of the overall situation.

As in, will never happen.

Firesale aka Sony cuts pric e of all PSP's to $50 or less.

Could see it happening.



It's just that simple.
