Forums - Sales - Mario Kart Wii on track for 25 million 2010, best selling all time?

My memory might be off, but haven't Mario Kart Wii been bundled with the Wii for ages? So has Wii fit and Mario Galaxy. NSMBWii and Brawl are the only ones of those games which from my knowledge haven't been bundled with the console (except Wii play but that was bundled with a controller).

You don't live in Europe i take it? Since i know for a fact that Mario Galaxy and Wii Fit has been bundled, just wasn't sure about Mario Kart.

MKWii bundle is only a LIMITED edition one to celebrate 25th years of Super Mario Bros. Even then such a bundle shouldn't take away its merit in sales numbers. Many other games have been bundled for a limited time as well during their launch period only in this case the bundle is a few years afterwards. Heck the bundle is only now only available in EMEAA.

So? It's still a hardware bundle from Nintendo.

If you're having a go at me for sticking to the rules set in the OP then you are the one who is filled with "fail". If you don't like the rules set up by the OP... Go make your own thread which includes bundles. Limited or not. In which case... Mario Kart Wii still wont be the winner.

Stop crying about it.

There is the letter of the law, and the spirit of the law. You are focusing on a technicality rather than using some common sense. It's like giving someone a ticket for jaywalking across an empty street. Technically it's against the law, but no rational law enforment would do it. Because for every rule, there are reasonable exceptions.

Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

Your OP stated the following.

"Could this be the best selling non console bundled game of all time?"

Plain and in English. Non console bundled. The game has been bundled. Doesn't matter if it's in one area. Doesn't matter if it's only just happened. It's a bundle. I don't see why it's so hard to accept...

Even if you DO want to bend the rules... It's still 4 Million units behind Wii Play... And 8 Million units behind Pokemon R/B/G. And with your bending of the rules... NSMB DS is right behind it, and actually outsold it this week. Modern Warfare 2 is potentially above it all versions combined already.

If you want to be totally anal about the letter of the rule, then that's your choice.

I'm going to be somewhat flexible in how I interpret the rules.

This isn't life or death stuff, I don't care.

I would have to agree with Grimes here and say what he meant is what the condition is here.

Why should a less-than-ideally worded statement be given more weight than intention?  Surely, a typo would not be so considered, for example.  He certainly meant "What games has the most non-bundled sales?"

Okami

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

I thought Pokemon was in non bundled sense. On consoles its possible.

So bundles now count?
