Yes, because at the end we still have Wii, X360 and ps3, despite everything that happened.... games, bundles, new accesories etc etc....

So is all good

All is good?really?I wonder if Nintendo is thinking the same. They keep losing Wii's marketshare, and they know they will continue doing so in 2011 if they don't take measures. In 2007,Wii has sold more than the PS3 and X360 combined, now the Wii can only manage to outsell them during the holidays, and that also won't last forever...
I'm tired of explaining the same thing over and over again.I don't even know why I bother, maybe because of boredom...

Marketshare? Pfffffff do you really think marketshare is more important than the money they are making? Lulz at you sir.

Nintendo keeps making millions out every single console they sale, then if you take into account all the software.... well, I think Nintendo is the last one to worry about these sales.

But yeah, keep it up man.... you surely are going to convience some people around here

** And think for just a moment... imagine a $50 price cut next year... remember, wii has only had 1 $50 price cut in a total of 4 years, while the X360 and Ps3 has had many price cuts, new models and the motion controllers... Do you really believe wii is in trouble? Do you really believe Nintendo is not happy? pffff I am the one that needs to think if I should bother....

Count how many pricecuts the HD consoles have had and count how many the Wii has had. Count the number of redesigns they've had, count the number of redesigns Wii's had. Nintendo's done pretty much nothing to support the Wii other than software. It's worked out just fine every year and if, by some miracle for the HD consoles, next year seems really worrying fo the Wii, Nintendo has a whole lot of cards left to play.

Nintendo has racked up more than 10 billion cards and still counting to play with next generation. Green leafy cards that is.

You brought this on yourself!

Well, Nintendo is a card manufacturing company, :P.

THAT'S what I'm saying...holidays alone won't be able to save the Wii.Nintendo would have to use those ''cards'' of which you speak of.

What makes you think they won't do that stuff next year (or do you)? A price cut is practically guaranteed next year IMO, and recently they had new bundles and the red Wii and such along with SW. They have SW they can release like Zelda, Xenoblade, The Last Story, etc. and they'll probably have to get out some more casual or mainstream. New bundles seem like a given to me too.

No,I don't think that they won't do that stuff next year.I just think they are a necessity.

Wii still may be first, but it lost a lot of ground, while the other two have gained.Next year holidays alone can't guarantee this #1 spot, why is this so hard to understand? It's just plain obvious

You're forgetting an important factor - there wasn't really any software to push the Wii this year, and both HD systems introduced motion control systems this year, a major release.  Next year, the Wii will have one of its biggest selling franchises released - Legend of Zelda. This game alone will carry the Wii well through 2011. The HD systems, IMO, have blown their proverbial loads. GT5 was the last major title people have been waiting for from Sony, and MS has released a slew of anticipated games in 2010 as well.

It will be hard for the HD systems to battle the Wii in 2011. By 2012, new consoles will be announced and this generation will dwindle down for all 3 companies. 2011 will be the last real battle, which Nintendo already has the upper hand in.

@kowe.- Wait...they are losing money with every wii and DS sold? Or are they losing money because of the 3DS? those are 2 very different things... I said they keep making million with all the systems they are selling, instead of losing money like Ms and Sony did at the beginning of this gen.

I believe they are still making money out of every console sold, but they are spending money on the 3DS.... Correct me if I'm wrong plese

@ Mordred... no, nobody misundertood you... you are just plain wrong, that's all

Well,GT5 hasn't made such a big difference for the PS3.Why would the next LoZ make a big difference for the Wii?Especially for the full year?

Eh, they only did that a quarter ago on foreign currency exchange problems. With the last quarter, which was, beyond all doubt, a terrible quarter for Nintendo, they're already pretty much even for the FY.

Anyone notice how when the Wii wasn't doing so hot, the PS3 and 360 fans joined forces to condemn the Wii and champion HD sales.

Now the Wii is on top and they're back at it with each other.

VGC dynamics are somethin'.

what did you notice about the Wii fans when it was losing weekly and now after the inevitable holiday surge, anything?

I noticed that some wii fans are getting arrogant during holiday season. I bet they will be quiet when all the christmas gifts have been given...

Fanboys just show themselves when they have a chance to win a argument (don't matter how silly it's), the only ones brave enough to gloat when in 3rd are PS3 owner (i can't blame, as i love playing mine and never care about how much it sells)... But in January we will see the posts much less heated.
