Xbox 360 launched in the UK five years ago today, and Microsoft is celebrating by announcing that the 360 has been the number one console in Europe and the US for the past five months.

Well deserved.

Besides the weeks when Wii or PS3 sold more than they did in both places.

And of course we shall forget last month.

Not combined, since the slim launched there have been a number of - difficult to find - interviews where they said they were the top console in Eurrope, they re-iterated it again at TGS that it was seperately.

I'll admit that statement is not specific enough to avoid multiple interpretations of what it actually means.

This! It seems people here are a bit confused about that.

i think they call europe UK france germany spain italy or something like that...

I've repeatedly called for Europe to be separated out from EMEAA and I'll keep doing such.  MEAA is just TOO speculative.
