And I'd say the guesstimates are pretty good overall. PS3 and Mario Sports Mix where a bit high but the preview wasn't that far off on GT5 and it pretty much nailed Super Robot Taisen L (only ~1k difference!).

For me 90-110k... way off.

But 70k is a great boost too... not amazing.

I expected 78K ....basically about how much it did in MGS4 launch week

You tried to sound me out for being incorrect about something, so I proved to you otherwise. My first post was a joke at the constant meme in these threads to disappreciate The Source and his previews whenever specific consoles are overtracked/undertracked.

Now calm down.

The preview was expecting like 100k or sumthing....unless it was changed its WAY off.

GT5 seems fine to me undertracked or not.

So last year corresponding week.
PS3 jumped from 32K to 43K (VGC, Media Create should be similiar)

So PS3 jumped from 28K to 68K and about 10K of that would have happened anyway. 

So looks like GT5 boosted hardware in Japan by 30K.  Was that what you were hoping for?  I dont think so.  Looks like the hardware boost for GT5 has been happening all along during the life of the PS3.
