Wow not the huge boost anyone expected... 430k FW is decent though. Wii got a boost too, but will pale in comparison to last year from now on. Looks like both PS3 and Wii will be down YoY after all their huff and puff through to november!

So over-tracked by a fair bit then in the preview for GT5 and PS3 then. No bigie.

GT4 did 673k in first week so that is down by 243k which is 36%.

Interestingly GT4 did 831k of its total 1m sales in 2 weeks. So history shows for Japan at least 80% of GT4's sales were very front loaded. Basing it on that i think you have to say it looks unlikely it will hit 1m in Japan. 

But personally i still think they are good sales. Times have changed. For any game in Japan to get a 200k week is impressive let alone a 400k week.

I think people don't have problem with the preview. I'd say they just think The Source is a fanboy who don't deserve to write the weekly analysis.

I give him the benefit of the doubt. With the Kirby numbers, PSP HW last week, and PS3 and GT numbers this week, or even with the constant 'being off on certain things, and have bias towards other certain things' for that matter, I don't think that he does that on purpose.

Some people do bring arguments and numbers, and I've seen him providing feedback.

Others simply subtly flame him.

they are great, wish it hit 500k but still, those are some good numbers, that's all there is to it

PSP HW are on a roll!!!! Next week it should keep the same, good times for the device :)

PS3 had a nice lil jump as well, at least with this, PS3 has outsold Wii for the year, not too shabby (number of weeks)

Sonic Colors is an official bomba, I actually thought maybe some legs will kick in with holidays but it bombed hard in Jp

DKCR number should be interesting too, they are coming out in two weeks if I'm not mistaken?

MH3P numbers will be great but sadly, hearing about the sold out situations around Tokyo area, I think they might have undershipped big time for it, but it should have some great legs like the previous game

Hmm, much lower PS3 boost than I though. I guess the fith title in a franchise, even as big as GT, isn't going to move a whole lot of consoles.

I was expecting higher numbers for PS3 hardware but it's still good enough to put it in second place right behind the PSP. Good numbers for GT5 though.
