Forums - Gaming - World's first Islamic game rating system

I think its a great idea. But to be honest I find it sort of funny that Islam is represented alone. If this became big I'd expect the Vatican to get a rating system and then a Jewish one and then a Buddhist one. I'd love to see all religions represented. Or how about a multi-religious rating system that judges games on their religious values based on all of the major religions.

I am all for religious freedom so this is great news to me. I just hope the rest of the worlds organised religions get involved. I would love to see religious groups taking a positive interest in video games.

you don't want to see a genre called "Christan RPG" right ? like they did with "Christian Rock"

What about Christian anti-christ games?

Or Maybe in God of War, Kratos win the gods by negating them saying there is only one god?

As long as it doesn't end up on the boxart for all regions... the PEGI one is already huge enough.

Now I know that Christian Rock was a peice of crap. But I would love to see Christian developers creating content for their religious masses. In the same way I would love to see Muslim games or Jewish games, even though I myself am Christian.

Seeing our industry grow is never a bad thing and religious content is growth getting more people to play games is expanding our market. As long as the games don't spread hatred of other people. Maybe a Mormon game where you send all Blacks to hell wouldn't be good. But for the most part I think religious games would be good.

But I would love to see Christian, Muslim , Jewish , Buddhist games on the market.

As long as they don't ban games for the most BS reasons(which they will), I'm kinda cool with this rating system.
