2.5 million kinects are not shipped, they are sold to customers, and no not "retail is a ms customer", 2.5 million kinects have been sold from a online or retail store. Stop spreading B.S.

Unless the whole retail was reporting sales to Microsoft (not impossible but improbable) the only numbers they have are "sold to retail".

Nintendo is the only company of the big three who has a tracking system company and only releases its numbers on fiscal quarter.

That has been discussed here a thousand times.

ok guys let me get this straight

from these numbers in the LEAST there should be about a 2million user base for Move right? Isn't that great?

also I don't think Sony themselves can give more than a guestimate on the real userbase as Move will be very very hard to track rather than Kinect given all the options it has when it comes to playing games. Not even retailers will know these numbers surely?

So the point I'm trying to make is that....these are great numbers for Move, Sony released these info 'mainly' for shareholders and such and not us, for them this shows there is great demand for the item, this will also get more devs on board as well, and sony didn't 'lie' or any of that nonsense, in this press release they have clearly mentioned what these numbers represent

Unless MS shareholders are helping cashflow to sony, they shouldn't give a flying *&%^ about what method they use
