It was a typo someone made in like early 2009 when PS3 sales were slowing because it was still $400. It stuck cause it's hilarious

Actually, the "domed" thing is kind of a meme on the site now. Someone made that typo like last year, and people always refer to it. You'll see "doomed" just as often as you see "domed" on the forums lol. The funniness is even enhanced by the silly alarmist intentions of most threads that used "doomed" in the titles.
PS3 is DOMED.
Though I really want to know why it's really lagging behind in weekly American sales these days....
