This is just a legend for fools to pursuit! There is no such thing as Shiny gold medal because it would be humanly impossible to get some time aboe gold medal.

Oh it's real. I found out about them by accident when I noticed on the level summary page that one of my golds looked different than the others. The actual requirements sound like they vary from a second fast to ten seconds faster, depending on the stage. I got the shiny for Canopy Cannons even though I only had less than 1.5 seconds to spare on the normal gold time.
