The Metacritic averege is 86, so it's not as if this particular review is an exception or something.

There was one review where he was complaining about the LIGHTING being too "realistic" or sumthing.....I lol'ed tho.

Seems like reviewers are looking for the fun of the arcade racer, while PD was aiming for the joy of driving.

Redbull X1 looks like it will deliver said joy in spades. All you need to do is play the game enough to earn it.

I'll be buying this when it's gone platinum. I'm past buying games at new release price this gen.

F******* IGN is on crack atleast play the online for a day before putting up your review all their trying to do is to get hits on their page.  I always looked at IGN as a second opionion after gamespot but after this bull**** i'm done with them.  It's not that 8.5 is not a good score it's just how can you judge a game without playing the entire game's features.  It's like trying to judge Call of Duty without testing out the online play.   Saleswise these reviews won't mean sh** Europe is where this game sells and Eurogamer.com gave it 90/100.

I was watching some video's on ign and the game was looking amazing until they drove past 2D cardboard cut outs of people cheering along the side of the track. Kind of took away the awe!

So it is looking like GT's oponent Forza is the best racing simulator so far this gen, critic wise.
