Was this the same review site that reviewed Heavy Rain before and was slammed by Sony for their credibilty?

PS I really don't care a shit about reviews. IMO reviews are bullshit especially the scores, a cancer in the industry right now because if I have listen to reviews I could have missed majority of the games I played and enjoyed. It is just sad that a lot of people will not buy  it because it didn't scored 90 above. Sorry for the rant.

Whha GT has never been about "Great Physics"...Remember playing dodgems around the inside of every tight bend when the races were tough.

GT is about rising above its imperfections and what it aspires to be, more than what it actually is.

Anyhoo I'm going to wait for all the reviews to be in.

I've heard all sorts of comments flying around from "It's a Jagfest" to "The most beautiful console game ever".

Its what you make of it that counts.

Never been about great physics??? Are you serious?  Gran Turismo has like everything perfected to make it so even the slightest changes to a car will make it handle exactly how that car would handle in real life.


If you believe the way to take a high speed corner is to slam into your competitors at the apex then speed away unscathed having taken a physically impossible parabola then I am just in awe at the power of delusion.

I know people have the ability to do that, but tell me this: When you sum up the racing as a whole for the entire game, WHAT game out there has better physics?  Please be specific with reasons, including how their physics regarding cars handling the exact way they do in real life are better, etc., etc.


I don't say there is better ! Just that what currently exists is flawed.

Its a bit like sending a rocket full of colonists to Mars having it explode halfway and everyone say

"Wow we never got that far before. Well done everyone, that was Great"

It may be flawed, but with the review system that works the way it does, when there is nothing better for something, it should get a perfect 20/20.  People don't realize that a 20/20 for gfx in 1995 clearly doesn't mean a 20/20 now.  For physics, a GT5 may get a 20/20 now, despite some flaws, but in the future, there will clearly be better.



Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

I still think this will be the definitive racing game this generation.  However, we need to wait to see what other reviewers think before slagging off this review, and better still wait for people on this forum to give their impression of the game. You can't say the review is pants when they have at least had the opportunity to experience the game.  Let's hope they just want some attention for their site and marked the game with a controversially low score in order to get hits.

Who listens to what jeuxvideo.com have to say anyway. Once jeuxvideo.fr release their review, I'll pay attention.

 

Si Gran Turismo fut "The Real Driving Simulator", ce n'est plus le cas. (...) la simulation conserve une forte personnalité et reste le seul jeu consoles à rendre un tel hommage à autant de mécaniques diverses et variées.

So it's even worse than previous GT games in terms of realism. This makes no sense.

Why??? Expectations have been raised since then, it might be a bad review I don't know I haven't played it yet, but this doesn't prove that.

no, jeuxvideo.com always give good rating (ala ign), so why this rating is VERY surprising : they are ball sucker

the website that gave bad rating and gave heavy rain a 6/10 is gamekult.com, I think their good writted review will come out tomorrow. I m expecting a 7/10 which is not that bad from gamekult.com. What I m sure is that their review will be good whatever the rating !
