Famitsu review of PS2 version:
Baroque (PS2, Sting): 7 / 6 / 7 / 7 - (27/40)
Not exactly overwhelming. Still, I'll give it a chance.

The Wii is very popular right now and the PS2 is still doing very well considering it's age. Why would a developer choose to make it for only one of these sucessful platforms when it is potentially more profitable to have it for both?
Making certain games for both just makes sense. Furthermore, most gamers either have a PS2 or a Wii so you are really reaching a substantial market by making a game for both platforms.
Demon's Souls Official Thread | Currently playing: Left 4 Dead 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Magicka
Atlus being creative over here, porting a Jap. PS2 game to the Wii during localization.
Lets hope they make a decent job of the controls.
Just bind each analogue stick to nun chuck and wiimore and try not to include too many wriggle actions.
Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

yes, but their is a gap between what the Wii can do and what the PS2 can do. If developers are lumping both consoles together, then that means that all Wii games will continue to have PS2 quality. Yes it's all financially sound for publishers to do this but quality wise, it's not so great.

It's a huge game in the import community. Importers love it. I'm inclined to trust the opinions of just about anyone above Famitsu haha.

Heh, the game's got almost the same name as me. My handle on the internet used to be Baroque, until enough of my friends starting calling me Parokki to make me change it. The Finnish word for baroque is barokki, and in what would probably best be described as our regional dialect that the rest of the country finds silly it turns into parokki. No, it doesn't really make sense. =P
The game looks pretty interesting. Unlike a lot of RPGs the gameplay doesn't look menu-based, the setting seems very atmospheric, and there's Latin! I just flunked a Latin exam pretty bad today, so I have to make up for it somehow...

Baroque? A Dungeon Crawler makes it unlikely for me.
What does this game have to do with a ship from the era of pirates I don't know though.
