I seriously want Activision to do bankrupt.

Those guys can't innovate, they just stick to a successful formula and milk it till it crashes, instead of cycling for 2 or 3 years the same franchises.

so what,if it's not broke don't fix it. If they came out with something completly different, people would still complain and the game would probably flop. You can't have it both ways. People have voted with there wallet/end of thread.

Yeah, and the exact same wallets are going to kill this franchise because less and less people will want to upgrade a game they already have every year. This will lead to the death of a franchise that would be epic if it was released in a 2 or 3 year cycle.

Captain Price!!! Everyone loves him in the Modern Warfare series

But anyway, they keep on making great games, even if they are same-ish, and people will keep on buying them, because CoD games are still very good

I agree with this post. COD is one of the best fps series of all time,I just don't understand the let's hate something, just because it's popular kind of thinking. I understand if someone legitamely hates the game, but don't hate it,just because it's the cool thing to do.

You need to reword your sentence.  Cool thing to do?  Just sounds lame.  More like the gameplay, etc.. are good enough to carry the series.  Word of mouth sales such as someone suggesting their friend to buy a CoD game isn't because it is the cool thing to do.  It is because the game suffices that person's taste to warrant them to suggest others to buy it.  No true gamer would ever just buy a game cause it is cool thing to do; they buy the game because it is a fun game to play.

I'm talking about hating the game, just because it's popular. I think you got my words twisted.

Yea, I did get your words twisted I suppose.  Perhaps, I should put a company that I hate (Apple) in place of CoD.  Sure Apple products provide innovation but most of their sales seem to come from the "cool thing to do".  I suppose I get carried away when a product that I justify worth purchasing is put in same category.

I dislike them because they have pushed fps gaming in a direction that makes me enjoy the series less. Regenerating health, squad based, gritty war simulators, where the multiplayer is judged based off reaction times and your skill with a laughable control scheme (PS360 versions only, Wii and PC excluded obviously) as opposed to teamwork and co-ordination (see early Battlefield games for examples of good shooters)

There are so many reasons to hate activision for what they have done to this once great genre. People do not hate CoD because it is cool.

P.S. - Halo also shares much of the blame

Also like Guitar hero due to the yearly cycle the games will lose its luster and it wont be the cool game all the gamers must buy.

The thing about the yearly release cycle for COD is that although they are release under the same brand name, unlike Guitar Hero there is a enough of a difference between the games to make people want to buy the new version. This mostly due to the varying setting, which have switched between WW2, modern setting and now the Cold War. And unlike the music games which are only selling a few hundred thousand, COD is still selling many millions.
