91 on metacritic right now!

It'll go down as more reviews get added. (Unfortunately.)

On a side note, it appears nobody has posted a link to the GT review yet... So here it is.

As megaman said, the only "bigger" problems reviewers seem to have with this game is the fact that it doesn't do anything radical with the DK-universe (and I think most people are okay with that) and the co-op (though most of the reviews seem to have stated that it's great/awesome).

It does kinda seem like that many of the reviewers don't want to go over the 8.5-9.0 area simply because they don't think a full priced 2D platformer should be scored higher.

Nice review... At this point, I don't know how to handle the waiting...

But not doing anything radical is kind of the point of the game. It is suppose to be a throwback like New Super Mario Bros Wii is.

Alright I WAS going to get this game next year.

But when I heard how awesome it is, I am totally picking it up for Christmas.

Lifetime sales prediction

Wii 79/150 million

Xbox 360 47.7/73 Million

PS3 43.6/69 Million

1up gave it an A http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3182479

Gamespy a 3,5/5 http://wii.gamespy.com/wii/donkey-kong-country-returns/1135968p1.html

I dont get it, gamespy complaints about the game being too difficult and kinda unfair while destructoid said it is very difficult yet NEVER unfair.

I guess we´ll have to play to find out

It really depends on how you define unfair. If it's what I would classify as BS difficulty, pixel perfect jump timing required combined with slightly less than 1 to 1 controls, then yes I would call it unfair. Although as I point out above personally I love that sort of challenge. 'I Wanna Be the Guy' made me tear my hair out but I loved it.

I'm sick of the double-standard held against Nintendo games.

Activision and EA titles like call of duty and all their sports and music games get excellent reviews every year despite being pretty much the same game with different levels.

Yet when Nintendo does it for the first time in 14 years everyone rains on their parade.
