It does kinda seem like that many of the reviewers don't want to go over the 8.5-9.0 area simply because they don't think a full priced 2D platformer should be scored higher. |
But not doing anything radical is kind of the point of the game. It is suppose to be a throwback like New Super Mario Bros Wii is.
