not necessarily full of details.

40 songs is low... alteast compared to what he used to do though, is he the sole composer. he did 56 for lost odyssey, andatleast  80 plus I think for FF7-10(with help with 10's but still 80 I think anyways's ) going into the 100's for FF9. FFXIV (the latest FF he did) is a gazillion. And the already fantastic xenoblade sountrack which is 91.

40 songs is a bit less than what's in Xenogears I think...

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

that is correct. I loved that soundtrack though it isn't my most favorite. As I stated in the other thread. It can be fine with 40 just not what I was hoping from Uematsu

The thing about Uematsu (and others) as he weaves certain songs and variations of different songs together to form new songs that fit the setting.... and sometimes has different renditions of the same song... such as in FFIX he has melodies of life theme or Yuna's theme in FFX. And it adds nuance I like. Limiting the amount of tracks limits this. Atleast in my view. I could be wrong though. But that's why I'm dissapointed initially atleast... obviously I'll see when it comes out.

Well, for me, my favorite soundtracks ever are FF7 and Xenogears so... :P

except uematsu didn't do xenogears, many of the songs on Uematsu's soundtracks are the same songs with slight variations. And the tracks weave and build over eachother over time. Mitsuda's style doesn't do that as much. I don't think a short soundtrack fits uematsu's strengths. As a result would likely be...

Point is I'll just say it imo I don't think Uematsu is near as good as he used to be. Just like Aerosmith isn't as good as they used to be, just like the Rolling Stones, etc. FFX (though my favorite game) was one of his weaker soundtracks. imo. Same can be said with FF14, Lost Odyssey, and Especially Blue Dragon. And he's not helping it by not playing to his strenghths. His previous Don't compare to FF6,7,8

I think the soundtrack will be good it's Uematsu. I just don't think it will be near his best ones. Like FF7. Just based on the soundtrack not fitting to Uematsu's strength. imo

You don't need to tell me all that lol, I pretty much knew everything :P

This will be the best RPG for this gen ! I cannot imagine Nintendo doesn't bring it in US and Europe ... And I hope we'll have Xenoblade too.

All we need now is Amano and for me this is a dream come true.

Not everyone speaks English fluently, and it shares the same root as the correct word.
