Forums - Gaming - Fable 3 (Spoiler) is anti-Republican propaganda

This thread is going to get into spoiler area, due to the issues discussed.  Because of this, avoid it if you don't want to have it spoil any of the game for you.  Also, if you don't want to get into political stuff.  However, those who are pro-Republican party should note this thread.  Maybe you can contact Fox News regarding this also, and they can bring up the issues with the game.

Ok, where to begin?  Ok, let me list the items in the game that are clearly AGAINST what the Republican party campaigns on:

* Gay marriage is allowed.  You can marry someone of the same sex in the game.

* The game has condoms and offers what they call "safe sex" as an option, even done out of wedlock.

* If I have to make the tradeoff of economic growth vs the environment, and favoring economic growth over the environment, is seen as evil?  Why being pro-Capitalist seen as evil?

* The game considers welfare payments out to masses, as a GOOD thing.

* Appealing to rich moralistic people, who want to restrict the use of a mind/mood altering substance (alcohol), is seen as evil I believe (certainly not good).  Fable 3 is against the drug war.

* This goes out against Libertarian-leaning Republicans.  The choice to open up a homeless shelter and orphanage, insead of a brothel, is seen as a GOOD choice.

* The game considers NOT executing those who have harmed others, such as the head of the mercinary camp and also your brother as GOOD choice.  The game is against capital punishment.

* The game considers offering a government based bailout of the economy a GOOD choice.  The game is against the free market picking winners and losers.

* And here is the TOP offender for anti-Republican message:  In order to not get an evil rating, and make all the liberal choices in the game, you MUST raise taxes on the rich.  In this case, the rich is yourself (you will likely be the richest person in the kingdom to become king).  You are required to tax yourself at an extremely high tax rate (around 100%) in order to raise enough money to save the kingdom.

Oh, there is ONE thing, which is lowering general tax rate which is pro-Republican, but the rest looks liberal to me, and anti-Republican.  But, overall, it looks like the game has a clear anti-Republican bias.  If I missed others, please let me know.

Morally speaking they are the good choices. It just depends whether or not they effective policy.

Ask me about being an elitist jerk

Time for hype

The game is British.

From your description, the ideal Albion leader is somewhere between Labour and the Conservatives. Which is fine.

Previous Fables were already anti-Republican propaganda, as pursuing Republican policies like killing random villagers and eating baby chickens would give you evil points.

Come on people, if you work it right, Fox News could get upset over it and BLAMMO a lot more publicity and sales for the game!

Why would FOX news get mad at something they gave a perfect score they practically called it a classic. They would be back tracking a hell of a lot.

Because it undermines the values that the talking heads at Fox News stands on is why.  There is other Newscorp folks that can get on this, and speak to it.  If not Fox News, get it to Rush Limbaugh.  They could do a said "objective" piece where they can ask if the game undermines American values.  There are LOTS of ways to go with it.
